USE combines the traditional trade fair with live demonstrations, competitions and networking events to create a unique industry experience. Together with the Urban Steel Rockstars, the trade fair concept is being expanded to include interactive formats that provide fresh impetus for the industry.
Whether it’s live demonstrations in the DIY Lounges and Makers Spaces, international competitions such as the WeldArt World Championship, keynote speeches on the Main Stage or networking events – USE brings together specialist knowledge, practical experience and personal encounters in one place.
Mainstage
Between a knowledge hub and networking
Throughout the day, the Main Stage – as part of the Urban Steel Rockstars (USR) – will serve as the central knowledge hub of the USE, offering a top-class programme of inspiring keynote speeches, practical masterclasses and insights into current industry topics. In the evening, the Main Stage is all about networking and socialising: with live music, a relaxed atmosphere and entertainment, it provides the ideal setting to round off the day at the trade fair and make new contacts in a casual atmosphere.
DIY Lounges
Try out welding techniques for yourself
Get hands-on rather than just watching: the DIY Lounges offer visitors the chance to try out various welding processes for themselves and test products under real-world conditions. State-of-the-art welding booths and guidance from experienced experts create a practical setting for discussion, new experiences and direct comparison of different technologies and manufacturers.
Makers Space
From idea to prototype
In the Makerspace, ideas are turned into tangible projects. From self-welded go-karts to experimental designs, prototypes and one-off pieces are created here, demonstrating what is possible with craftsmanship, technical expertise and the right tools. The open nature of the space encourages the exchange of new approaches and opens up new perspectives on modern metalworking.
Weld Art Championship
Technology meets art
The WeldArt World Championship shines a spotlight on a particular aspect of welding. As the world’s first international competition for creative welding, it brings together participants from various countries who present extraordinary sculptures, installations and metal objects. The competition impressively demonstrates how precision craftsmanship, technical expertise and creative ambition merge. Judged by an international panel of experts, the Championship highlights the diversity of modern welding technology and opens up new perspectives on a field that extends far beyond traditional applications.
USE Pub Stage
Insights, discussions and new perspectives
The Pub Stage provides a space for professional discussion in a relaxed atmosphere. Product presentations, case studies and short keynote talks offer a varied range of insights into the latest developments in the industry. The informal setting encourages direct dialogue between speakers, exhibitors and visitors, and creates a personal atmosphere for discussions and networking.

You can look forward to a unique USE Fashion Show, in which personal protective equipment (PPE) is showcased in a special way by industry specialists. But it doesn’t stop at simply looking – in the USE Retail Area, you can purchase the items on display right there and then.
